About the track

This is a personal, concept track. It started with a conversation on the topic of 'hate to love' and focuses on the idea of addiction as one thing we 'hate to love', with the lyrics and visuals largely driven by my sub-conscious.

The visuals are symbolic and here the substance of addiction is seen as a vampire lover. The mask represents impaired perception. The splashes of red are the life in our doomed heroine - life that has been 'sucked out/bled out' by the end.

The lyrics and visuals deal with the dichotomy of addiction, where it seems by turns seductive and repulsive, alluring and disturbing, but ultimately destructive if left unchecked. I did the artwork for the music video in 3D.
